Small droplets make a big impact - Why the right nozzle matters

Droplet size and nozzle selection may seem like small issues, but they can make a big difference. But how do you choose?

Most nozzles range from fine to ultra-coarse in size. Nozzles that produce fine to mid-range droplets are used for applications requiring excellent coverage - herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides. Mid- to coarser-range droplets- while offering less thorough surface coverage- provide improved drift control.

The most important thing to remember is that one nozzle can produce multiple droplet sizes at different pressures; droplets get finer as the pressure increases. Use the droplet-size categories to help you select the right spray tip for your application.
